Fogging Service for Schools and Communal Areas and Offices

THE ADVANTAGES OF FOGGING
Why use fogging to apply disinfectants, pesticides and other chemicals?
The simple answer is fogging is quick, easy and effective.
Thermal foggers and ULV foggers quickly apply a thin even coverage of chemical solution over an area. This is due to foggers producing a large number of small particles that can quickly cover a surface or fill an area. This is an effective way of covering both airspace (atmospheric fogging) and surfaces.
Why is coverage important?
Bacteria, virus’s and other pathogens as well many insect pests, are very small. When applying a chemical to a surface it is important to have the best coverage possible over the entire area, so the solution is in contact with whatever is on the surface. The images below illustrate the differences between standard spraying, thermal fogging and ULV fogging. (please note these are not to scale, they are for illustrative purposes only).
Standard spraying: this creates a variety of large uneven particles, mostly between 100 and 200 micron. These particles are not an effective way of covering an entire surface to kill pathogens or small pests.
Thermal fogging: Thermal foggers create a high density fog containing a large number of small particles around 10 micron in size. Many of the particles are lighter than air, allowing use for atmospheric fogging to kill airborne pathogens or to fog a large area where the solution will settle on hard to reach surfaces.
ULV fogging: ULV foggers have an adjustable flow rate and particle size. This allows them to produce particles from a fine fog of around 5 micron up to a heavier mist of 50 microns. This allows a smooth, even coverage that can be adjusted depending on the chemical used and the situation.
What about residue?
Standard spraying techniques, often leave a lot of residue resulting in a wet surface. This is due to the large particles produced in the spray. While this may be acceptable in cropping and exterior applications; in many interior applications, large amounts of residue are not desired or require time spent wiping the surface dry (which can contribute to the spread of pathogens if not done effectively).
With thermal and ULV fogging, due to the smaller particle size, very little wet residue is left on the surface.
Quick to apply, effective coverage, no wet surfaces, efficient and cost effective! We believe fogging is a great method of applying disinfectants, pesticides and other solutions in a variety of situations.
